The small stone finca "S'Olivar d'Es Coscois", which is over 70 years old, was completely renovated, rebuilt and lovingly extended in 2010 and is situated somewhat elevated on a hill, surrounded by a terraced and largely natural plot of almost 7,000 sqm with a wonderful panoramic view of the surrounding landscape and the village of Santa Margalida with its old village church.

The house consists of a living room with open fireplace and dining area, a spacious kitchen, 4 bedrooms (3 x with double bed, 1 x with 2 single beds), 3 bathrooms (partly en suite), and offers enough space for up to 8 people (ideally 6 adults and 2 children) on 2 levels with approx. 180 sqm floor space. A 20 sqm roof terrace facing south, a south-west facing balcony, the spacious terrace at the house as well as the pool terrace at the 35 sqm private pool, all with fascinating views, as well as a small outdoor barbecue area in the garden behind the house round off the finca pleasure, and many romantic cosy places on the 7000 sqm large and partly terraced property with old almond and fig trees, orange, clementine and lemon trees, tamarisks, pines, carob trees, oleander and olive bushes, palms, huge agaves and cacti and much more. many more invite you to linger. the "star" of the property, however, is certainly a 500-year-old gnarled olive tree... Only now and then is the tranquillity interrupted by the bleating of the sheep in the surrounding pastures and the tinkling of the bells, especially in spring, when everything is lush and green - and as befits a real country finca, there are of course some goats on "S' Olivar d' Es Coscois" itself from time to time (!), as well as a water lily pond.

The water supply is primarily provided by a cistern, which is automatically fed by a well on the property. For cooler days, there is underfloor heating and the open fireplace in the living room. The comfortably equipped kitchen offers, among other things, a large fridge/freezer, electric cooker with ceramic hob, microwave and dishwasher. A washing machine is available in a separate utility room.

In the evening you can enjoy the sunset from the property over the small town of Santa Margalida, whose town centre offers various cafés, restaurants, banks as well as all shopping facilities for daily needs and in addition a market place with weekly market day at about 1000 m distance. Santa Margalida is a place that still embodies that traditional Mallorca that has long been lost on the coast! Other (rustic) restaurants and celleres with typical Mallorcan cuisine can also be found in the surrounding villages, where you can usually get a daily changing tasty "Menu del dia" (3-course lunch menu) including drinks for only about € 8,- - and in "Ses Torres" near Ariany, 6 km away, even a very rich lunch buffet for only about € 12,- including water, wine and coffee (a real highlight!!!).
